New year, New Outlook.

It's January.

It's the new year and it hasn't really hit me yet.

A lot has happened in the past year that has made me realize so much more about myself. What doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

I've succeeded and I've failed, and I've loved and lost. I've moved from one city to the next, chasing the tail of stability. Time has a way of teaching you lessons when you least expect them.

These are some things I've learned in 2010:

Solitude doesn't mean loneliness.

Sometimes you put walls up not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.

With some things, persistance isn't the answer. With others, a certainty.

Never settle for anything less than what you deserve.

Don't cry about money because you'll be crying all the time.

You reap what you sow.

Sometimes less is more.

Make peace with your past so it won't mess up the future.

Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

There is no such thing as the perfect timing.

If you wait for the perfect moment, you will miss many small moments.

Forgive everyone every time, but remember, forgiveness and trust are two different things.

Happiness really is a choice. Choose it.

Take deep breaths.

Don't take yourself too seriously.

Let go.

Be yourself, there is no one like you.

Being nice is not a weakness. Nice people are the bravest strongest people there are.

Yesterday is history, Tomorrow's a mystery, and Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present.

That pretty much sums up my year.

I had one small resolution for this year, and that was to cut soda sugary drinks out of my diet (no sugar in my coffee.) So far it isn't that bad. Last year it was stop eating french fries. That didn't last long.

Cheers to a new year full of good fortune :)

Mike currently has this set as his ringtone when I call. And I really like it :)

  1. I like your wallpaper. Is it lickable? Does it taste more citrus like straight up lemons or more like lemonade? Or perhaps just dirty computer screen. Do they have one in Snozzberry? From what I hear the last one comes well recomended by Mr. Wonka.
